Before I left Chapel Hill I had a farewell party with my friends and then it was already time to say goodbye North Carolina, hello New York! After spending one night in New York I took a trip to the Niagara Falls in Canada. Canada definitely lived up to its reputation: It was freezing cold and there was still ice on the Niagara River! I
The remainder of my time in the US I spent with my friend Amy who was also an exchange student at UNC. We stayed in New York for a few days and also went to Philadelphia for a day. My favorite part about New York was seeing the musical Matilda and the view from Rockefeller center by night!
Back in Germany I enjoyed a few days with friends and family and flew to Munich for two days to take part in a “Tax & Accounting Day” organized by Deloitte. 10 days later it was once more time to pack up all of my things and I have to say that I’m becoming an expert in packing up all of my belongings in tiny suitcases! This summer I’m interning at Bayer, where I’m working in the corporate accounting and reporting department. The headquarters are located in a city 15 minutes outside of Cologne but I’m actually living in Cologne for the next 3.5 months.
