I am writing this article with a large smile on my face. I am experiencing happiness, but a different kind of happiness as this one is due to professional success. This month has been quite intense for me, but as time passed, good results did not fail to appear.
I started my month with an Assessment Centre at Barclays which I was equally dreading and excited about. After finishing the assessment centre, I knew I did well, but as always, I also knew that I made mistakes. Fast-forwarding to the following week, I got the call from Barclays: I had been successful in securing a summer internship. My enthusiasm was well-fuelled by the news but as I was about to find out, there were more to come.
In addition to these news, I am proud to say I passed all my exams with an average of first, and even managed to surprise myself with two scores above 85 points. I believe this month is indeed about celebration: the Chinese New Year has come, Valentine’s Day has come and gone as well and with the end of this month, I hope for spring to settle itself in Manchester as it is more than welcome and much awaited to do so.Moreover, I believe that I shall name February as the Movies’ Month as it is the month during which I watched the largest number of movies within such a short period of time: from going to the cinema and watching The Kingsman (which I greatly recommend), to staying at home and enjoying all Harry Potter Series once again, the Oscar Awards and many others. Meanwhile, I also had to hand in an assignment, do a group presentation and a coursework and sit a mid-term exam too. Now you can see why I said February has been intense.
With these being said, I can only wait for March and its surprises when I will tell you more about traditional customs in my home country happening during the first month of spring and the beginning of the Easter Holiday.
