Hello 2016!

Hello 2016!

I spent last week of December and the first half of January back in Malaysia. It was great being back home again, surrounded by people who knew me best and I am most comfortable around. I’ve missed my family and the 3 weeks back at home was great! One thing about Malaysia that I might have missed more than the people would be the food. Malaysia is a multi-racial country and the food we have reflects that.

Besides the food, I also spent a lot of time catching up with my family and friends and celebrating Christmas & the New Year together. 2015 has been about changes, going to university, moving away from home, moving to a new country, gaining tons of new experiences and I am extremely grateful for the great year, ready to take on 2016! (and the exams, hopefully.)

January gone by so quick and before I know it, I was on a flight, on my way back to Manchester. It was a week to exams and there was tons of studying to be done because the 3 weeks back at home was extremely unproductive academic wise. On the weekend I arrived in Manchester it started snowing.

A friend’s flat mate came back saying “It’s snowing outside and there are a bunch of Asian kids standing outside in the snow.” And that was when we grabbed our coats and rushed outside to join the bunch of “snow virgins”

Other than that, January consists of studying, taking the exams and more studying. However some of the exam venues were extremely beautiful and I have a Glasgow trip planned for the weekends right after the exams so I am definitely looking forward to that
