This blog entry will be a rather short one as I’m getting ready to leave North Carolina in less than 24 hours and I’m still packing. Before leaving the USA for good in mid-May I will go to Niagara Falls and New York City for a few days.

April was a busy month with presentations, essays and finals. I’m still waiting for two of my grades but overall I’m very happy about my performance this semester. I got an A in my Advanced Spreadsheet Modelling class, which according to my lecturer makes me a “top-notch Excel Bad-Ass”.

The Excel class was definitely the most useful class I have taken this semester and according to some students it’s the most useful class they have ever taken in college.

During the last weekend in April I went to Washington DC, which is 4 hours north of Chapel Hill. I took a bus from near-by Durham which cost me less than 30 $ roundtrip. DC is definitely the nicest city I have visited in the US so far because it’s so green and the architecture is very impressive.

Looking back my year abroad it has gone by unbelievably fast and it’s hard to believe I will be back in Germany in just a few days.
