Birthday: Birthday celebrations for my course-mate at Manchester House in Spinningfields. Not the ordinary student venue, I must say.
CNY: Back in Manchester the Chinese New Year celebrations continued in China Town with traditional dragon dancing.
Xmas dinner: Christmas was as usually held in Manchester (like the two previous years). Instead of turkey, chicken feet among other things was on the menu when I had dim sum in China Town together with some classmates who didn’t make it home for the holidays either.
Sweden: Went back to Sweden to visit family for some pre-Chinese New Year celebrations after I had finished exams and submitted all coursework.
Revising: Late night revision at Alan Gilbert Learning Commons. Here is my course mate Sunho fighting his way through some past exam papers at 4am. Still posing for the camera though.
NYE celebrations took place in Oslo this year together with a group of Swedes, a couple of bottles of sparkling and fireworks. Happy new 2014!
Night out: Post-exam celebrations at club Sakura. Spotted by the club’s photographer.
IKEA: After 2.5 years in Manchester, I finally decided to take the train to Ashton-under-Lyne and stock up on some Swedish products including crisp bread, mould wine, sweets, biscuits and gingerbread. Of course, meatballs with potato mash was served!
Guidetti: Spotted one of Sweden’s few EPL-players, John Guidetti, at Trafford Centre. Footballers are commonly spotted in the football capital of England.
