It’s all Coming to an End

I can’t believe my time at Manchester is almost finished, this year has gone incredibly fast! The last few months have been so busy. I handed in my dissertation a few weeks ago, after many months of stress and hard work, 18,000 words later and I finally finished it. I was really proud of myself and am hoping the hard work pays off.

At the moment, I am working towards my exams, I have 4 exams approaching over the next few weeks so it’s a little stressful. I will be happy to get all this work out of the way! I have also been trying to balance university work with job applications also. I reached the final interview for a marketing role based back home in Northern Ireland and am waiting to hear back. I am also flying to Dublin next week for an assessment centre. Hopefully, I will find the right fit soon!

Taking a break from all the work, I went to Amsterdam for a few days over the Easter holidays. My sister and I stayed in a little house boat on the canal and explored all the sites Amsterdam has to offer. It was a great time and the perfect getaway.

We also had an end of year celebration dinner for the International Management and International Management with American Business Studies students. A few of the students kindly organised a three course meal along with decorations, champagne and a dance floor. It was a lovely night. It’s so crazy to think that our 4 years is almost up. I have made some friends for a lifetime at Alliance Manchester Business School, something I am so grateful for.

We also received our graduation date – the 13th July. I think the day will be so bittersweet but I can’t wait to celebrate with all my friends and family. For now, it’s back to revision and trying not to get distracted by all the warm weather we have right now!

I was so nervous about moving my life to America for a year but from all I have experienced in this month, the fear, the stress and the immense change have definitely all been worth it!
