MBS student latest Financial Times MBA blogger

Manchester Business School MBA student, Jaya Sharma, posted her first piece for the Financial Times’ MBA Blog last week.

Jaya is part of MBS’ Young Potential Leaders programme and the youngest in her class – having only recently graduated with a Masters in biomedical material engineering from the University of Manchester.

She said: “I blogged as a hobby before starting my MBA so when I saw that the FT had a regular MBA blog, I thought it would be a great opportunity to turn my hobby into something more.

“I felt excited to be chosen to represent Manchester Business School, especially as the FT has such a large, international readership.

“I hope that my blog will show how the MBA is much more than a few modules and coursework, but a whole range of activities. I want people reading to find out what it doesn’t tell you in the brochure about doing an MBA. It will hopefully show how fun and rewarding an MBA can be and how the ups and downs are all part of the learning process to develop into a good business person.

“Being on the Young Potential Leaders programme, I would love for any younger students considering applying to understand what an MBA would mean to them and how they could benefit from the programme.”
