After a frantic six weeks of buying and selling, the MBS MBA Banking and Finance Society Stock Trading Competition has come to an end.
The competition replicated real life management of a stock portfolio over six weeks, demonstrating the Manchester Method – learning by doing. Participants gained a better understanding of the London Stock Exchange and the various macro and micro economic factors that impact stock prices. It was designed to help MBA candidates learn more about UK listed companies and provide light-hearted inter-school competition, as well as lots of fun and networking opportunities.
Karthik Gudipaty emerged as the winner, beating candidates from both MBS and other top UK MBA business schools. Second and third places were awarded to Christian Reta and Fatema El-Wakeel.
Karthik commented “I really enjoyed the comradery amongst our participating classmates”.
