In this month, I have to attend lectures and complete the assignment of the Qualitative Research Method subject. The assignment requires us to write the research proposal by utilising the knowledge gained from the lecture. I think that this assignment is crucial for the dissertation we are going to undertake in the third semester as it helps us to gain an understanding of the research objectives, questions and methods.
Recently, I had a second meeting with my supervisor to discuss what I have got from researching the related documentaries and what we are going to do in the next stage. My supervisor told me that a well thought out plan will reduce a load of work during the dissertation term. He advised me to list the main theme of our research and try to find out the answer to research questions from the relevant documentaries. The next meeting will be after the Easter Break, so I will spend my break on this assignment and go somewhere in Europe.
During the Easter break, I had a trip to Italy. I visited almost all famous cities in Italy including Rome, Vatican City, Pisa, Florence, Venice, Lake Como and Milan. When I was in Rome, I visited many famous tourist attractions such as Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican Museums, and so on. I moved to Pisa to visit the leaning tower of Pisa and spent a night in Florence, the historical and a romantic city of Italy. I climbed up to Piazzale Michelangelo where I can see the most beautiful view of the city and enjoy the sunset. Venice is one of the most fascinating city as it consists of 118 small islands connected by numerous canals and bridges. In Venice, the floating city, I can walk along the canal and see the beautiful city in every shade of light. Another memorable place in Italy is Lake Como which is part of the Italian Lake District. Its atmosphere and natural surroundings has enchanted me. Generally, my trip to Italy was wonderful and impressive.
And that is my story of this month!
