Masters Insights: Florida, alligators and Manchester friends

Sophia Bischof, Germany
MSc Marketing

I just returned from Florida two days ago. I spent my Easter break in Tampa and had a fabulous time! I have been to Florida a few times before during my undergraduate studies and loved it, so naturally I was excited to return. The 3 weeks were the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation.

sophia alligatorA couple of the things I did: I visited the Harry Potter Parks at the Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures in Orlando and on Easter, I switched the traditional Easter bunny with alligators.

My good friend Jeff with whom I am studying on the Marketing program here in Manchester also came to visit and we had a blast! He was traveling the US to visit his friends and family and fit in a 2 day visit in Tampa. The reason why I am mentioning his visit is because it shows you how quickly you will build friendships with people all over the world when you come to study here. The MSc Marketing program at MBS has students from 20 countries, so we are a very international bunch!

As always, 3 weeks break flew by and I found myself on the plane back to the UK. I arrived in Manchester on Monday morning and lectures, assignments and dissertation proposal preparation are back in full swing. 2 more weeks of lectures are ahead of us before we will take the final exams and start writing our dissertation full time. Things are moving quickly here at MBS – quickly and exciting!

Until next time. Take care!sophia and jeff
