Corporate renaming of stadia has become a feature of modern football. This event showcases new research undertaken by researchers at Alliance Manchester Business School and Manchester Metropolitan University, looking at football fans’ reactions to the corporate renaming of football stadia in Manchester, Bolton and Oldham.
Dr. Leah Gillooly from Alliance Manchester Business School and Professor Dominic Medway from Manchester Metropolitan University will explore how renaming a stadium can disrupt the connection fans have with the club and the place.
This seminar is part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science and anyone can attend.
