New Director for Social Responsibility appointed to Manchester Business School


Professor Graham Winch has been appointed as Manchester Business School’s new Director of Social Responsibility.

Manchester Business School is committed to contributing to the social and economic success of the local, national and international community by using our expertise and knowledge to find solutions to the major challenges of the 21st century, and by producing graduates who exercise social leadership and responsibility.

Our aim is to embed social responsibility into our research and learning activities encompassing sustainability, ethics and integrity, finding solutions to global challenges, public engagement, community support, and equality and diversity.

In his new role, Graham, who is Professor of Project Management, will work to develop this commitment to social responsibility across the School.

Graham joined MBS in October 2004 from the Manchester Centre for Civil and Construction Engineering at UMIST. He has taught at the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies at University College London and researched at Warwick University Business School and Imperial College London.

Graham will also continue his role as Director of MBS’ BP Managing Projects executive education programme.
