MBS supports Responsible Business Week – you can get involved too

This week is Responsible Business Week and we’re kicking off our involvement this afternoon by hosting a Big T-Break to raise money for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, a charity which is local to us. We are also launching our Easter appeal for Manchester Women’s Aid where staff will donate Easter eggs as well as practical items such as clothes and toiletries.

Responsible Business Week, the only week dedicated to responsible business, takes place 31 March – 4 April across the UK and is run by the charity Business in the Community. The week aims to inspire, equip and challenge businesses to do more to meet the world’s most pressing needs.

Businesses of all sizes are using the week to run their own activity or take part in events across the country. They are also encouraged to shout about their responsible business to different audiences – their customers, employees, supply chain, community and partner organisations, and the media. Last year more than 1,500 people across the country took part in the first Responsible Business Week.

Throughout the week we’ll be highlighting the great work that we all undertake as part of our corporate responsibility agenda.

We want to help create a big impact on Twitter on the Monday of Responsible Business Week, so at 11am on Monday 31 March join in by tweeting “I’m supporting #RBWeek because…” – the aim is to see #RBWeek trending.

You can also tell us on Twitter why you’re proud to work for MBS using the hashtag #proudtoworkfor.

Follow us throughout the week on Twitter and please use the hashtag #RBWeek.
