Professor Frank Geels awarded best paper prize

MBS’ Professor of System Innovation and Sustainability, Frank Geels, has been announced Winner of the Best Paper Award from WWWforEurope (a European Commission project on ‘Welfare, Wealth and Work’). The award was given for his 2013 paper ‘The impact of the financial-economic crisis on sustainability transitions: Financial investment, governance and public discourse.’

The judging panel highlighted the paper’s policy relevance, interdisciplinary approach and excellent argumentation.

Frank will collect the award at the WWWforEurope First Feedback Conference in Vienna, Austria on 19 September, when he will give a talk based on the paper. The award will be presented by former EU Commissioner Franz Fischler.
