Strengthening UK-Colombia Research & Innovation Cooperation: The Role of Foresight and Horizon Scanning

Early career researchers from the UK are invited to attend a workshop in South America next month being jointly run by the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research (MIoIR). The workshop, entitled Strengthening UK-Colombia Research & Innovation Cooperation: The Role of Foresight and Horizon Scanning, is being held under the British Council Researcher Links scheme in Cali, Colombia, from the 26 to 28 November.

The workshop will explore UK-Colombia cooperation opportunities in areas such as climate change research, science and innovation policies, agricultural competitiveness, entrepreneurship, and the future of cities. Researchers from Colombia are also invited to apply for a place on the workshop and all travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the Researcher Links programme.

The event is being coordinated by Dr Rafael Popper from MIoIR and Dr Javier Medina from the Colombian Foresight, Innovation and Knowledge Management Institute of the Universidad del Valle. It will also include contributions from other leading researchers including Prof Jakob Edler, Prof Stephen Flint, Prof Edgar Varela Barrios and Prof Gonzalo Ordonez-Matamoros.
