Responsible Business lecture 22 October – Book your place

Steve Cheetham, MD, PK Engineering

Can we build a Mittelstand in England’s Green and Pleasant Land?

Thursday 22 October 2015
5-7pm, Alliance Manchester Business School East

In the third of the Responsible Business  lectures, Steve Cheetham, SME owner manager and auto industry veteran, will address the theme of Building a Mittelstand in the UK.

Steve now owns and runs a British engineering SME engaged in advanced precision manufacture for the aerospace, scientific and medical sectors. He has diverse career experience of both finance and industry. In the 2000s he was a star stock market analyst of the automotive sector at AllianceBernstein where he was also a fund manager. In previous lives he worked for Ford Motor Company in senior finance roles in Europe and North America and had a stint in manufacturing consultancy.

Having lived and worked in Germany, Steve has a keen interest in the comparative analysis of industrial and financial structures in the UK and continental Europe.  His engineering knowledge comes from working in industry; his fluent German and French from a  Cambridge MA and his finance from a London Business School MBA.

This lecture continues a short series illustrating the radicalism of current practitioner thinking about responsible business. Led by Alliance MBS Professor Karel Williams and supported by Manchester University Press, the lectures are organised under the aegis of Manchester Capitalism

There is no charge to attend the lecture, but places are limited and booking strongly advisable.
