Innovations in Transport, in association with Manchester Science Festival, draws together projects, developments and discussion from across the transport sector in the UK and Europe.

The event showcases projects including MODUM (Models for Optimising Dynamic Urban Mobility), SimpliCity’s innovative optimisation initiatives, Transport for Greater Manchester’s (TfGM) Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Scheme and BT’s Stride program.

Brian Simpson, MEP for the North West and Chair of the European Parliament’s Transport and Tourism Committee, will give a keynote presentation on transport innovation covering themes including the nationally debated and locally significant HS2 rail link and the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme.

A transport panel chaired by Keith McCabe, Managing Director at KAM Futures, will engage in topical debate on the challenges, developments and future innovations in UK and European transport. Keith will be joined by Transport for Greater Manchester’s David Hytch, Traveline’s Peter Stoner, and writer, comedian and broadcaster Timandra Harkness.

“Innovations in Transport offers an opportunity to come face-to-face with the transport sector’s leading projects. With researchers, policy makers and industry well represented this collaborative event is not to be missed.” – Keith McCabe, Managing Director at KAM Futures.
