On Friday 30th January 2026, the AMBS Postgraduate Careers Service hosted the final of their MBA Case Interview Competition, proudly supported by Curzon Consulting.
Now in its 11th year, the competition is designed to help Full-time MBA students sharpen their case interview skills while creating meaningful opportunities to engage with the external market.
Practical insights
The build up to the competition final began with the launch event in October 2025, attended by Nigel Brannan, Sarbo Saha and Aziz Yuldashev from Curzon Consulting. Monthly preparation sessions then followed, which were led by Curzon Consulting AMBS alumni Sarbo Saha, Aziz Yuldashev and Preetesh Sood.
Drawing on their own consulting experience, they generously shared practical insights and guided students through the nuances of effective case interview performance. Our sponsors and alumni were actively involved throughout, bringing valuable industry perspective and real-world relevance to every stage of the competition.
The finals
The preliminary rounds saw 13 teams, each made up of four students, take on individual case interviews judged by our final-year MBA students. From there, the top four teams progressed to the final, where they faced a further round of individual interviews before working together on a group case presentation.
Both the interviews and presentations were assessed by our panel of alumni judges: Sarbo Saha, Tristan Hollis, Nkem Igwe and Momina Anjum.
