Ice on the top

It was the Easter Break finally and time for a break from long classes and tiring assignments.

My friends and I planned a trip to hidden places in Scotland like the Isle of Sky and Inverness which were not the conventional Glasgow or Scotland.

We took the train to Edinburgh and explored the city for a day and visited Harry Potter Magical Tour, Underground Vaults Loch Ness and Glencoe and the Scottish Highlands. The Edinburgh Castle was like the set of Game of Thrones and was mesmerizing. We moved to Glasgow where we visited the giant Cathedral, we also went to the Glasgow necropolis which looked like the cemeteries in the movies with giant tombs and memorials. We also went to the art museum and saw some incredible artwork.

The best part about the trip was the drive from Glasgow to the Isle of Skye. We first saw the Old Man Storr and putting our hiking shoes on the magnetic rocks by the ocean was mesmerising. We saw the Fairy Pools which is a set of lakes and waterfalls. Kilt Rock was a beautiful scenery near the beachside where you can relax and visit the cafĂ© to have some relaxing drinks. We then went to Inverness by car, and it was a very cold drive, I suggest to anyone who visits Scotland to carry a lot of warm clothes as the weather is very unpredictable. In Inverness, we visited the Loch Lomond Lake and did some private boating and had some champagne on the boat. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants time off from their busy schedule and just wants to connect with nature.
