Tales to Inspire: The online series

As the Coronavirus Pandemic continues to sweep the globe causing major disruption to our every day lives, it’s never been more important to look after your wellbeing and find sources of positivity.

To bring good news stories to staff and students at The University of Manchester, the Masood Enterprise Centre, based within Alliance Manchester Business School, has teamed up with Tales to Inspire which features people from all around the world with various experiences to share. New tales are released each week from individuals that have made a difference and overcome challenges with the sole purpose of inspiring and motivating others.

Tales to Inspire founder, Krishnan Patel, left his role in the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI) here at the University earlier this year to focus solely on developing his vision for making a positive difference.

Supported by the Masood Enterprise Centre, Krish successfully secured a Flying Starter Award. Since then he has actively engaged in a number of our entrepreneurial support programmes and workshops designed around the lean start methodology. The support, mentoring, connections and networks, open to all across the campus, aims to help entrepreneurs navigate their own path to creating a start-up business.

Tales to Inspire is launching its first online event, The Online Series, on 7 April to showcase some of the incredible blogs available on the website shared vocally, online by the original tale-teller. Parental notice suitable for ages 14+.

Join us for Episode 1 live online Tuesday 7th April 2020, 11.00 – 12.00 via Zoom.

Featuring tales from;

1. Nicola Sansom

Straight from the streets of Uganda, Nicola will be explaining how she has reunited so many children with their families and supported others off the streets of Africa into safe environments as well as how Covid-19 has resulted in drastic changes in her approach to this project.

2. Sean Bailey

Manchester Footballer Sean will be joining us on his own two feet, sharing his tale of overcoming paralysis. We’re in no doubt that his incredible journey will lift your spirits and leave you feeling ready to take on the world!

3. Krish Patel

Founder of Tales to Inspire, Krish ran 4 marathons in 4 days to complete the building of a schoolhouse in Africa that now teaches 150 students per term. He then swam 53 miles in the Lake District to help the homeless in Manchester back onto their feet. Covid-19 won’t hold this guy back from saving the world.

We look forward to seeing you online!
