We are saddened to hear of the death of our colleague Professor Michael Luger.
Professor Luger was Director of the Business School between 2007 and 2013 having joined us from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Professor of Public Policy, Business and Planning.
After Michael retired as Director of Manchester Business School, he was the Director of the School’s Centre for Infrastructure Development until 2015 and Emeritus Professor from 2016.
From 2014, Michael held numerous Non-Executive Director roles, including in the Office of Rail and Road.
Between 2014-2017, he was Chairman of the Board at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
Since January 2021, Michael was the Chairman of the Board at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
Our thoughts are with Michael’s wife Angela and his family at this very sad time.
