2018 Seminar series on Business Ethics, Social Responsibility and Sustainability

As part of the Research with Impact strategic priority under the University’s Goal 3 agenda, the Social Responsibility and Engagement Committee at Alliance MBS launched a seminar series in 2016-2017. The purpose of the seminar series is to invite researchers from AMBS and other business schools to present their work for discussion and also to explore new avenues in thinking and researching the area.

The remaining 2018 seminars include:

19 April 2018: Dr Stefan Zagelmeyer Reader in Comparative and International Business at the School, will be looking at Profit vs. Principles? Business and Human Rights in the Global Marketplace. Driven by the debates on corporate social responsibility and the endorsement of the UN Guiding Principles on Business in 2011, recent years have seen an increased interest among public policy-makers, practitioners and academics in the topic of business and human rights, especially as far as the operation of multinational corporations and global value chains is concerned.
