Rehana Begum

Rehana Begum is the CEO (job share) and Company Secretary of Diversity Matters North West Ltd, where she leads with purpose, compassion, and a deep commitment to equality and inclusion. Her work is grounded in community, education, and creating opportunities for those who are too often left behind.

Raised in a conservative family, education and achievement for girls were not prioritised or celebrated. Grounded in her Islamic faith, Rehana draws motivation from its the principle, "change comes from within" she forged her own path through resilience, determination, and a strong belief in the power of learning and self belief.

She is proud to have become a CEO while balancing work and education, achieving a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (Education) alongside her professional responsibilities.

A passionate advocate for women in leadership, Rehana champions authenticity, empowerment, representation, unity, and breaking barriers. She believes leadership is about uplifting others and creating spaces where women, particularly those whose potential is often overlooked, can thrive.

Rehana is inspired by bringing opportunities to people, empowering them to realise their potential, and making a meaningful difference in communities where voices are too often unheard.

This event will be hosted by MBA alumna Claire-Marie Boggiano, Lurig Change & Development.
