We live in a modern age where we are conscious of taking a 'green' approach to our everyday life, whether that's how we travel, where we shop, or what we eat. More recently, organisations are taking a green approach to how they do business.
A sustainable business participates in environmentally friendly or green activities to ensure that processes, products, and manufacturing activities adequately address current environmental concerns, whilst maintaining a profit.
Join the Masood Enterprise Centre for the first StartUp Spotlight of 2020, where you'll hear from Vlad Mukhachev who created his Manchester-based company, Mindful Store, whilst in his final year at University.
Winner of the 2019 Venture Further Business Start-up Competition (Environmental Category) run by the University of Manchester, Vlad received £12,000 to kick-start his sustainable business. After realising that sustainable brands are struggling with scaling their distribution, they came up with the idea to open modern-day physical stores.
Vlad will discuss the importance of starting up a sustainable business, and why now is the best time to do so.
