How business leaders plan to ensure they maintain the balance of skills required to succeed in the digital age

Automation and digitisation in the workplace is shifting the composition of skills required in established and growing businesses. How can business leaders in any sector ensure they are building the right teams and equipping their existing employees with the new skills needed in a successful & efficient business and how can they future-proof against the perceived digital skills gap?

Whether it’s the management and analysis of large data sets, digital client engagement, or autonomous operation in manufacturing, all sectors are being impacted by technological advances changing the way all types of work is done. We will hear from speakers Dr Anita Greenhill, Senior Lecturer in PMO Management and Organisation Studies, Alliance Manchester Business School and Marcus Hadfield, Chief Strategy Officer at Apadmi, who will describe how they are navigating the digitisation of work and ensuring they have the right mix of skills to forge resilience in the workplace and continue to grow their business.

We want to create a unique platform for fast-growing business to discuss, share best practice and access high level expertise from the Alliance MBS and our partners, we expect demand for attendance to be high and therefore registrations will be verified in order to ensure a non-sales environment.

Following the panel debate our chair, Professor Andrew James will summarise the conversation into two themes. We will then invite participants to join one of two virtual meeting rooms to discuss these themes in details with their peers. The meeting rooms will be facilitated by staff from The University of Manchester.
