Mental Health Peer Support (including Mental Health First Aid) has become a prominent feature of many employers' workplace wellbeing programmes, yet it has become a divisive area, with some launching and expanding their programmes, and others scaling back or cancelling it altogether.

The National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work is bringing together leading employers and experts in this field to explore a wide range of issues – from the evidence base behind peer support programmes, the varied approaches, the potential risks involved, and what the future may hold.

Through this discussion we aim to inform, inspire and equip employers to adopt best practice approaches to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of their employees.

The event will open with an address from Sir Cary Cooper, Professor of Organisational Psychology and co-founder of the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work, followed by case studies, presentations and a panel discussion from experts in the field.

Speakers include:

Charles Alberts, Global Head of Wellbeing and Employee Experience, Clifford Chance
Kris Auld, Continuous Improvement Director, Lloyds Banking Group
Stephanie Fitzgerald, Health and Wellbeing Consultant, Soyo Ltd
Dr Arun Iyer, Medical Director, Health Partners
Susannah Robertson-Hart, Director and Occupational Psychologist, Healthy Work Psychology
Duncan Spencer, Head of advice and practice, IOSH
Alistair Woodland, Legal Considerations, Clifford Chance

The event is open to employers, both Forum and Non-Forum members, but not providers or consultants on this occasion.

Registration and networking will be from 12:30 for those attending in person at Clifford Chance LLP. There is also the option to attend online for those unable to attend in person.
