Alliance Manchester Business School’s Middle East Centre in Dubai has been recognised for its outstanding continuing professional development work by the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) – the global body for professional accountants.
AMBS has worked with the ACCA in the UAE since 2010, and globally supports around 850 Global MBA students who are also ACCA members. MBS is an ACCA Approved Learning Partner in the region and was the first business school in the Middle East to be awarded Registered CPD Provider Status by the ACCA, whose members must undertake a minimum of 40 hours of CPD every year
The award was presented at a special recognition ceremony in Dubai, attended by Helen Brand OBE, ACCA’s Chief Executive, and Martin Turner FCCA, ACCA President.
Dubai Centre Director, Randa Bessiso, said: “We were delighted to be the first business school in the region to be awarded Registered CPD Provider Status by ACCA. Working in collaboration with professional organisations such as the ACCA has been one of the main contributors to our success in the Middle East, helping shape our programmes and keeping them up-to-date and relevant. MBS is helping to support ACCA members to broaden their business perspectives and competencies, and accelerating careers in the process.”
