The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ (RCVS) Mind Matters Initiative (MMI) has developed a guide on wellbeing in the veterinary workplace in association with Dr Elinor O’Connor, Senior Lecturer in Occupational Psychology at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester.

Alliance Manchester Business School has launched a new initiative targeted at ambitious growth businesses. The Scale-up Forum will provide a peer-to-peer network for ambitious scaling up businesses primarily but not exclusively located in the North West.

The winners of the 2017 Venture Out ideas competition were announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 5 December. The competition is open to students from across the University and is run by Manchester Enterprise Centre, the focal point for student enterprise at The University of Manchester.

New report finds that hospital leadership has generally changed for the better since the Francis Inquiry. There are, however, worrying signs that current high levels of demand, and the financial, workforce and regulatory pressures in the NHS, are putting recent gains in providing safer and kinder care to patients at risk.
