Caroline Magennis
Caroline Magennis is Professor of Contemporary Irish Literature at the University of Salford, where she is Impact Lead for the Schools of Arts, Media and Creative Technology.
She teaches Irish and British literature and popular culture, supervises PhD students and mentors colleagues into meaningful public engagement.
Her academic writing has been published by Bloomsbury, Palgrave, Routledge, Oxford and Cambridge and her public engagement work on Irish literature and culture has featured across print and broadcast media.
Last year, her book, 'Harpy: A Manifesto for Childfree Women' was published by Icon Books (Worldwide English), Alienta (Worldwide Spanish) and W.F. Howes (Audiobook).
'Harpy' has featured in Vogue, Marie Claire, Stylist, The Independent and The Times and Caroline has appeared at numerous literary festivals, book clubs and podcasts to discuss the important issues at stake.
This event will be hosted by MBA alumna Claire-Marie Boggiano, Lurig Change & Development.
