Alumni & Student Referral scheme

The Alumni & Student Referral scheme is a pilot test exclusively for the part-time Manchester Global MBA and is aimed at recognising and rewarding the invaluable contributions of our students and alumni in promoting this programme.

By referring prospective candidates to the Manchester Global MBA, you are not only providing them with access to a world-class education but also contributing to the growth and success of our programme.

Here's how it works:

For each person you refer who successfully enrols on the part-time Manchester Global MBA, you will receive one incentive of your choice (see section 4). The referred student will also receive a 15% discount on the total Global MBA fees (worth £4,950).

Who can refer

Currently the scheme is open to any MBA student or alumnus who refers a candidate to join the Global MBA or GEMBA programme.

How to submit a referral

If you have a person to refer, please read our full Terms and Conditions below and then complete the referral form. A member of our MBA recruitment team will then be in contact with the candidate directly to guide them through the MBA application process.

Terms & Conditions

Purpose

The purpose of this scheme is to recognise and reward alumni and current students who share their experiences and benefits of undertaking study with Alliance Manchester Business School, with people they know (i.e. family, friends or colleagues), by encouraging and supporting prospective Global MBA students to enrol at the Manchester (UK) centre.

Classification

'Referrer' is the term used for a student / alumni who refers a friend, colleague or family member ("Referred Student") to the. "Referral" is the term used for the act of referring a student.

Alliance Manchester Business School reserves the right to alter the terms and conditions of the Programme at any point. For any further enquiries please email global@manchester.ac.uk

Eligibility Criteria for Participants

1. Referrers

The scheme is only open to those current students who are considered to be in ‘good standing’ i.e. not suspended, withdrawn or a debtor.
The scheme is only open to those alumni who have successfully graduated.
Some alumni and current students may be excluded from applying (see section 3) for who is not eligible to participate.

2. Referred Students

Referred Students must represent new students that have not previously applied for the Global MBA. They must also not have been on our database in the previous 12 months as a general enquirer.
Referred Students must NOT be residing in of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Algeria, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Cook Island, East Timor, Egypt, Fiji, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Macao, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall, Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Morocco, Myanmar/Burma, Nepal, New Zealand, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Solomon, Islands, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Taiwan, Thailand, Tonga, Tunisia, Tuvalu, UAE, Vanuatu, Vietnam, Yemen.
Referred Students can only enrol on to the Global MBA offered at the Manchester UK centre.
Details of the referred students must provided by completing the referral form which is available on our referral website page.
To qualify for a reward, ‘Referred Students’ must successfully enrol on to Global MBA, pay their deposit and the first instalment of tuition fees and successfully complete their first academic semester.

3. Who is NOT eligible to participate?

Employees of the University are prohibited from participation as a Referrer.
Referred Students who ARE residents of the countries listed in section 2.

4. Rewards

Rewards for Referrers (Options)

Referrers will receive ONE of the following rewards for each successful referral:

£300 Amazon Voucher
£300 Charity Donation
Hotel stay anywhere in the world up to a value of £300 (booked on UoM travel system)
2 night stay at the Hyatt Hotel at Alliance Manchester Business School
Subscription to the Financial Times
Subscription to The Economist

Reward for the Referred

Referred candidates who are successfully enrolled on the Global MBA will receive a 15% discount on the total fee amount. This discount cannot be combined with other discounts offered on the Global MBA.

A successful referral is achieved when all required conditions detailed in section 5 are met.

There is no limit to the number of rewards that a Referrer can get for referring students.

5. Conditions for the processing of a referral application

Referred Students must successfully complete the first academic semester of the Global MBA at the Manchester UK centre.
Rewards are made to Referrers on a first-come-first-served basis (i.e. if a student is referred by more than one referrer, the first referral application will be deemed the only valid one).
