The University of Manchester has a history of health and public policy research that dates back over 60 years.

Our experts work collaboratively across the University and with professionals and policymakers from private and public sector organisations.

The Health Services Research Centre brings together established academics and newer researchers to form a cohesive and integrated Centre. Our staff have been acknowledged for significant contributions to health services research across management disciplines from organisation studies, health management, and public policy to operations management, accounting and finance, and human resource management. 

We have built an internationally recognised programme of research involving collaborations between academics, patients, professionals, health service managers and policymakers.
