Boardroom Conversation: Charity, NHS and the Sports boards

Manchester Business School is sponsoring a series of Boardroom Conversations in partnership with Women on Boards and the Institute of Directors. The first of these events will focus on Charity, NHS and Sports boards.

The event will take place on 13 October, 6 – 8pm at the PwC offices in Manchester and is designed to raise awareness of the variety of board roles available. It is an opportunity for aspiring Non-Executive Directors and Trustees to broaden their networks and discuss the skills and experience needed on different types of boards.

The three speakers bring a huge breadth and depth of experience of the sectors and their stories will inspire you to find your own niche:

  • Iwan Griffiths – Chairman of PwC North West, Chairman of Marketing Manchester and NED of Manchester Growth
  • Ali Harrison – ex VP of Astra Zeneca’s Global Regulatory Affairs and now NED of East Cheshire NHS Trust
  • Alex Russell – a newly appointed NED on the board of British Cycling and a sports PR specialist, having worked for Sport England and FIFA in the past.
