Why did you choose to study this Masters course at Alliance Manchester Business School?
For this particular course, I wanted to have an international perspective, because most companies are multinational or at least have employees from different cultural backgrounds. AMBS is very international (most of my course mates are European, British, or Asian) and, of course, I’m in a different country.
What were you doing before your MSc?
I completed my Bachelors degree in business administration, focusing on marketing and analytics. I had worked summer internships in technology companies, but in marketing or business development.
What are your career plans after graduation?
I plan to go back to the US to work in HR for a technology company or work in consulting.
What is the best thing about studying at Alliance MBS?
It’s a big school with lots of diverse people and disciplines. As previously mentioned the international perspective is a great advantage of studying at AMBS.
How much time do you spend in classes and in private study?
We have class all day Monday and Tuesday, all the same classes as Organisational Psychology. I usually do private study Wednesday and Thursday, and then work part-time on the weekends.
How would you describe your student experience so far?
There are lots of societies to join and so many people, so it’s been exciting.
What’s the best thing about living in Manchester?
It’s small but has a lot to do. So you can walk around to each neighbourhood easily. Compared to London, it also is quite safe. It’s mainly a student city.
What advice would you give to those considering studying at Alliance MBS?
The application process is quite straightforward but take your time to figure out what course you want to pursue. They are very specific and require hard work, so make sure you pick something you’re really passionate about.
