Why did you choose to study this Masters course at Alliance Manchester Business School?
Being a person who believes information supported with numbers leads to more logical evaluations, this course Business analytics was my choice. I chose the Alliance Manchester Business school as its course units accorded my expectations from a postgraduate degree and it is ranked high for the course in the world.
What were you doing before your MSc?
I was doing my undergraduate study in Bachelor of commerce (specialisation accounting and finance) and Postgraduate diploma in Business management at the PSG College of arts and science, Coimbatore, India.
What are your career plans after graduation?
My foremost aim is to equip myself well with this course and experience the work culture at the United Kingdom through an internship. Secondly, to contribute my best to my father’s business back in India.

How much time do you spend in classes and in private study?
I have in total 4 lectures a week of 3-hour duration. I spend only few hours a week to re-read the slides of the lectures and once in two weeks to read deeper into the topics of my interest.
How would you describe your student experience so far?
A totally new system of learning, multi-national peers, new city, it has surely been out of my comfort zone. Yet, coming with a need for such an experience, it is a learning experience not just educationally but also personally. It has been a contented learning so far.
What’s the best thing about living in Manchester?
The city of Manchester is absolutely a student city, you can find everything affordable and everyone with an approachable attitude. Celebration with music and varied weekly markets is usual at the city. One would never feel away from home as it is easy to get adapted to this lovely city.
What advice would you give to those considering studying at Alliance MBS?
Studying at Alliance MBS is one of the finest things that I ‘m proud of, getting into such a well ranked university is a chance to get the fulfilled experience both at academics and extra curriculum. Be wise about your choice, be open to meet different types of people from different cultures and don’t hold expectations, sometimes reality is even better.
What was your experience like on the Brathay residential trip?
I loved the lake district trip. It was certainly an opportunity to get to know many and to make new friends in the initial weeks of the course. The effectual team building activities helped to interact and learn as a team. It was a fun filled session at a beautiful place. Have never thought even a trip with little known people would turn so joyful and memorable.
