Why did you choose to study this Masters course at Alliance Manchester Business School?
Having covered and enjoyed supply chain and operations management in modules in my undergraduate degree I decided to apply for this course as I felt it encompassed all the business areas I am passionate about. Also as one of its kind in the UK, the course and the prestige of the business school would provide me with an unrivalled competitive advantage in the job market.

What were you doing before your MSc?
I was studying for a BA Hon Business Management at Staffordshire University and graduated with a First Class.

What are your career plans after graduation?
I am considering two options: to either continue in academia with research focused on supplier engagement with organisations in developing countries, or to go into the business sector working for a global organisation within a function focusing on supplier engagement and management.

What is the best thing about studying at Alliance MBS?
The great quality of teaching from the lecturers. Their knowledge, and ability to share that knowledge in a clear and concise manner, is incredible.

How much time do you spend in classes and in private study?
I have classes for 3 hours each on four days of the week , then I spent a lot more time on private study and group work.

How would you describe your student experience so far?
It has been a great experience; I have met and made friends with people from across the globe.

What’s the best thing about living in Manchester?
As a Mancunian I am tempted to say the people. The city holds such a diverse group of people who are friendly and very welcoming. We have great parks like Tatton and Lyme for those who love the outdoors, fabulous shopping malls and Manchester United for those with great football taste.

What advice would you give to those considering studying at Alliance MBS?
If you enjoy reaping great results after a gruelling but exiting challenge then apply. I am yet to meet a student who says they regret the choice they made.

What were your experiences of the residential session at Brathay in the Lake District?
Brathay was an eye opening experience. The activities we took part in brought the whole cohort together in working as a team and getting to know each other. This was to me an event to facilitate the first hallo.
