Why did you choose to study this master’s course at Alliance Manchester Business School?
I decided to study Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship at the AMBS because it is one of the best business schools in the world. Besides, the balance between theory and practice was important to me and I believe that the AMBS equips me with skills that go beyond academic knowledge. Moreover, the AMBS is a highly diverse and international business school which connects students with many well-known companies and helps its students to start their business careers.

What were you doing before your MSc?
Before I joined the Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship MSc, I studied Management & Logistics at the Kühne Logistics University in Hamburg, Germany.

What are your career plans after graduation?
I’m passionate for innovation management as well as for global challenges, emerging technologies, and governance. Furthermore, my research and career interest lie in the future of retailing and the transformation of the automotive industry. Therefore, I would like to pursue a career in management consulting or project management at a technology company or automotive manufacturer.

What is the best thing about studying at Alliance MBS?
The best thing about studying at the AMBS is the close interaction with the professors. Each module includes regular classes in which they teach you the theocratical knowledge. However, each module also includes seminars of 25-30 people. This setup allows you to have discussions with your professor and fellow students. In addition, the AMBS’s brand new building is the perfect location for personal studying and group meetings.

How much time do you spend in classes and in private study?
Currently, I spend 12 ½ hours in classes and seminars per week. On average I spend 40-45 hours of private study. It depends on deadlines, group work, and recommended readings.

How would you describe your student experience so far?
So far, my student experience at the AMBS was intensive and enjoyable but mostly just awesome!

What’s the best thing about living in Manchester?
In my opinion, Manchester is a great city for students since there are so many nice pubs, restaurants and events going on. In addition, Manchester has a great airport that allows you to visit other great cities like Dublin, Edenborough or simply your hometown.

What advice would you give to those considering studying at Alliance MBS?
Come and visit Manchester and the AMBS to talk to staff and current students. You will meet people from all over the world in the most liveable city in the UK.

Also, do not hesitate to apply to the course even if you do not want to start your own business. You will gain many skills that are important for managers and employees.

What was your experience like on the Brathay residential trip? (If you attended)
The Brathay residential trip was so much fun! You get to know your fellow classmates better while enjoying the beautiful landscape of the Lake District. Each activity challenges you to work together with your team which was so rewarding. Overall, it was the memorable experience I had so far in the UK.
