Why did you choose to study this Masters course at Alliance Manchester Business School?
I have been studying at the University of Manchester for 4 years now and I have enjoyed every single moment here. I had the chance to talk to some of my friends that pursued postgraduate courses at AMBS and all of them were extremely satisfied and highly recommended the school. Apart from this, AMBS maintains a very high rank among business schools in the UK, so I decided that doing a masters here was the best idea.

What is the best thing about studying at Alliance MBS?
I think the best thing about studying at AMBS is the fact that it provides an extremely diverse environment. If you consider my class alone, there are more than 10 nationalities represented on the course and even the teaching staff are very international while having a good proportion of British lecturers. I think that the modules offered in the course are challenging but extremely beneficial in terms of learning and job prospects as well.
How much time do you spend in classes and in private study?
I have 12 hours of lectures every week including seminars. I like to spend at least 2 hours before every lecture preparing all the reading material provided and I spend another two hours or so after the lecture, revising and reflecting on the discussions made in class and finding real life applications of the concepts and theories explained.
How would you describe your student experience so far?
The student experience has been great. I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of new people and make a lot of good friends during my first months at AMBS. I feel like I have learnt something new at every lecture and I am really excited to see how the year unfolds.
What’s the best thing about living in Manchester?
The best thing about living in Manchester is the large student population making it extremely student friendly with lots of things happening throughout the year. It’s a great place for concerts, football games, museums, good food and parties. You will never get bored here.
What advice would you give to those considering studying at Alliance MBS?
I would highly recommend that you spend time choosing the right MSc programme for you. The school has a wide range of programs and I think the best way to get the most out of the experience is to ensure that you choose what excites you the most.
What was your experience like on the Brathay residential trip?
I was not sure if I wanted to attend the Brathay residential trip but I am glad I did. It was the best way to start the semester in my opinion. I had the chance to meet my course mates before lectures started which was extremely helpful. The activities at the trip were so much fun and the scenery is great. I would fully recommend this trip.
