Why did you choose to study this Masters course at Alliance MBS?
After graduating with a business degree, I came across an opportunity to work as a career advisor for Beaconhouse School System. This was a phase of self-discovery for me, where I realised my skills and interests were in consulting, creativity and entrepreneurship. With this new found understanding, I took off on an exploratory journey where I sought out courses that satisfied my interests whilst catering to my talents. Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship was the one that checked all the boxes!
What are your career plans after graduation?
The more I study this course, the more I understand what I can take ahead with me after graduation. I plan to be a consultant for new and emerging business, to help them navigate the rough water in an unknown sea as they learn to pilot their start-ups!
What is the best thing about studying at Alliance MBS?
The fact that I am assessed in a variety of ways � through group discussions, reports and essays � thus providing a vantage point for a topic in hand.
How much time do you spend in classes and in private study?
My private study routine varies depending on the workload; it can be simply an hour to six hours in a day. As for classes, it’s a minimum three hours to maximum five hours in a day depending on the schedule of classes.
How would you describe your student experience so far?
So far, I have found the course load to be just right and manageable provided I study consistently.
What’s the best thing about living in Manchester?
The people! I can’t remember how many times strangers have gone out of their way to help me understand a problem and answer my queries. I love it that the city is friendly; it made adjusting to the new environment so much less stressful!
What advice would you give to those considering studying at Alliance MBS?
Take advantage of the diversity Alliance MBS offers, interact with all the different nationalities that are around you. Knowing a different culture is in itself an amazing experience!
